Not what I expected to see in Willington Lock today.

Not a cloud in the sky first thing this morning. Plenty of Cirl Buntings but they made themselves scarce as the day warmed. Foliage was alive with Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs.

Few birds to be seen but some interesting fauna and flora at this Surrey Wildlife Trust site. Grayling Butterfly, Raft Spider, a Fox Moth caterpillar and a BeeWolf.

House Martin, Sand Martin, Barn Swallow and Common Swift snapped on the wing this evening.

The Slow Worm was crossing the cycle track in Willington and running the risk of getting flattened. As for the Bullfinch, I've been trying to pin him down for ages.

New Camera, No Rain (well sort of!)

Why is that when you get a new camera it never stops raining ? Here's looking forward to the dry season - not sure when that might be though ?
