Arabian Warbler was found collecting food and to our surprise was seen feeding a juvenile on the ground and in the open. A privilage for such a rare bird.
Good rain in the Israeli desert this winter has resulted in some lush green areas for Larks - including this beauty ! 
Managed to blow the dust off the camera this afternoon. Few birds where I decided to wander but the sunshine was nice.
They like to start their kids young in Texas and it won't be long before this young lad has his own gun to protect his right to shoot trespassers.
A lone bird that posed nicely for me. The most common species around at this time of year were the feeding Am Robins, White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos. I saw my first Song Sparrow in California in early July and conclude that it must be a different ssp to this bird on the East coast which looked paler and a tad bigger. 
From no where the sky filled with a swarm of Common Grackles and then they were gone. Also American Crow, American Goldfinch and Tufted Titmouse.
I wish Lesser Spots were as easy to find as these little gems are in the US. Reminds me of a similar view I had of a male Lesser Spot in the shubs along the river here in Willington a full ten years back - alas no Canon camera and lens in them days though. Lesser Spots now absent from Willington and none seen anywhere this year.
