Moroccan - High Dunes

I have a theory that there are more Northern Bald Ibis in Morocco than there are Houbara Bustard. A single bustard was found near Mecissi but Sandgrouse were absent this far north this spring.

Grey Afternoon in Cambs

Desperately poor light this afternoon just over the county boundary made digiscoping desperate too. By far the highlight was a nice male Lapland Bunting at Stirtloe.

Siskins - mini invasion

The cold snap has drawn these little gems to my nyger feeders this morning.

Hatch End

A cold but bright evening at Hatch End ending in the Hen Harrier appearing in it's favorite hedge as the light was dimming at 17:27pm. Rubbish picture, I know. It could be anything but I know it's a Hen Harrier !
I'd seen the bird on Tuesday evening but typical - it flew right over my head as I was putting my camera in the car. Bugger !

Morning Light

Superb light this morning. A poor image of Siskin although first seen in the garden this winter.

Nuthatch

Plenty of activity today. Nuthatches coming down the trunks and Treecreepers up them.

Galeforce Smew

Broom reminded me of Pendeen today - digiscoping in a wind that blows your scope over being ever ambitious.
