Swan Lake on Ice


The main lake at Paxton was virtually frozen 0ver at the weekend and was almost devoid of wildfowl. This Mute Swan is flying over ice rather than water.

Norfolk White-Out

A winter white-out at Cantley Marshes this morning, 70 Taiga Bean Geese eventually showing themselves once the blizzard subsided. A much improved afternoon at Stubb Mill watching a total of 24 Common Cranes fly in to roost.

Two desert vagrants gracing the Lincolnshire coast this weekend. Interesting to see the Steppe Shrike ground-feeding, something I'm assuming this race pallidirostris to be more prone to ?
